By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. GENERAL

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to orders placed through our website, by telephone, email, quotation or invoice.

1.2 References to “we”, “us” or “CETA” mean CETA Group Ltd.

1.3 References to “you” or “the customer” mean the person or business purchasing goods from us.

1.4 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects the statutory rights of consumers.

2. PRODUCTS

2.1 We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, dimensions, specifications and photographs are accurate.

2.2 Dimensions, weights and coverage figures may be approximate and reasonable manufacturing tolerances may apply.

2.3 Composite decking and cladding may have natural variations in colour, grain, texture and finish.

2.4 Colour may also appear differently depending on lighting, screen settings and manufacturing batch.

2.5 We recommend ordering a sample pack before placing a full order and purchasing the complete quantity required for a project at the same time to help minimise batch variation.

2.6 We reserve the right to make minor changes to product specifications where these changes do not materially affect the product's intended use or quality.

3. PRODUCT SUITABILITY

3.1 Customers are responsible for confirming that products are suitable for their intended project, installation method and location.

3.2 Products must be installed in accordance with our latest installation instructions and any applicable building regulations or other legal requirements.

3.3 Where building control approval, planning approval, fire-performance requirements, structural calculations or professional approval are required, it is the responsibility of the customer, designer or installer to confirm suitability before purchasing or installing the products.

3.4 Technical information and installation guidance provided by CETA is intended to assist customers and does not replace advice from a suitably qualified architect, engineer, building-control professional or installer where such advice is required.

4. ORDERS

4.1 Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase goods from us.

4.2 A contract is formed when we accept the order and issue an order confirmation, invoice or dispatch confirmation.

4.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • an obvious pricing or description error has occurred;

  • payment cannot be authorised;

  • delivery cannot reasonably be made to the supplied address; or

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

4.4 If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled goods will be refunded.

5. PRICES & PAYMENT

5.1 Unless otherwise stated, prices shown on our website are inclusive of VAT.

5.2 Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown separately at checkout or on your quotation/invoice.

5.3 Prices may change at any time, but changes will not normally affect orders already accepted by us.

5.4 If an obvious pricing error is discovered after an order has been placed, we will contact you before dispatch.

You may choose to:

  • continue with the order at the correct price; or

  • cancel the affected item and receive a refund.

5.5 Goods must normally be paid for in full before dispatch unless a separate credit arrangement has been agreed in writing.

6. DELIVERY

6.1 Delivery times provided on our website, quotation or order confirmation are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.

6.2 We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the stated period but occasionally delays may occur because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6.3 Customers must provide accurate delivery information and advise us of any access restrictions before delivery.

This includes restrictions relating to:

  • narrow roads;

  • low bridges;

  • weight restrictions;

  • restricted parking;

  • building works;

  • locked gates; or

  • other circumstances which may prevent safe access.

6.4 Delivery will normally be made as close to the delivery address as reasonably and safely possible.

6.5 Our drivers are not required to carry long or heavy products through buildings, gardens or other areas where safe vehicle access is unavailable unless specifically agreed in advance.

6.6 Someone responsible should normally be available to receive the delivery unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed.

6.7 Where a customer requests goods to be left unattended, they may be left at the customer's risk once delivered to the agreed location.

6.8 If delivery cannot be completed because incorrect information was supplied, nobody is available where required, or safe access is unavailable, additional delivery or redelivery charges may apply.

6.9 We may deliver an order in separate consignments where reasonably necessary.

7. INSPECTION ON DELIVERY

7.1 Customers should inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

7.2 Missing, damaged or incorrect goods should preferably be reported to us within 48 hours, together with:

  • the order number;

  • details of the issue; and

  • clear photographs where possible.

7.3 The 48-hour request helps us investigate delivery issues quickly but does not affect a consumer's statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.

7.4 Products which appear damaged, faulty or incorrect should not be cut, drilled or installed before contacting us.

8. CONSUMER CANCELLATION RIGHTS

8.1 If you purchase goods online, by telephone or another distance-selling method as a consumer, you will normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days after receiving the goods.

8.2 You do not need to provide a reason for cancelling.

8.3 To exercise your cancellation right, contact us clearly stating that you wish to cancel.

Email: sales@cetadecking.co.uk

8.4 After notifying us of cancellation, the goods must normally be returned within a further 14 days.

8.5 You are responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods unless we agree otherwise.

8.6 Decking, cladding, joists and other long products may require specialist transport.

You may:

  • arrange your own suitable return transport; or

  • ask us for a collection quotation.

8.7 Our collection charge for large or bulky orders normally starts from £200, depending on location, quantity, access and transport requirements.

Any agreed collection charge may be deducted from your refund.

9. CONDITION OF RETURNED GOODS

9.1 Returned products should be kept in good condition while in your possession.

9.2 We may make a reasonable deduction from a consumer refund where the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect their nature, characteristics and function.

9.3 Unless faulty or incorrectly supplied, we cannot normally accept products which have been:

  • cut;

  • drilled;

  • installed;

  • altered;

  • painted;

  • contaminated;

  • incorrectly stored; or

  • materially damaged after delivery.

10. CONSUMER REFUNDS

10.1 Eligible consumer refunds will normally be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or receiving acceptable evidence that they have been returned where applicable.

10.2 Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

10.3 Where the whole order is cancelled under statutory consumer cancellation rights, we will refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where required by law.

10.4 If you selected an enhanced, timed, premium or express delivery service, any amount above the cost of our standard delivery service will not normally be refundable.

10.5 If only part of an order is returned, the original delivery charge will not normally be refunded unless required by law.

11. FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS

11.1 Goods supplied to consumers must comply with applicable UK consumer law.

11.2 If a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

11.3 Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a:

  • refund;

  • repair;

  • replacement; or

  • price reduction.

11.4 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11.5 Where goods are genuinely faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will be responsible for reasonable return or collection costs where required by law.

12. TRADE & BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

12.1 Consumer cancellation rights do not normally apply where goods are purchased wholly or mainly for business, trade or professional purposes.

12.2 Returns from trade or business customers are accepted only with our prior written agreement.

12.3 Unless otherwise agreed, trade goods must be unused, uncut, undamaged and suitable for resale.

12.4 The customer is responsible for return transport costs.

12.5 A restocking charge of up to 10% of the value of returned goods may apply to approved trade returns.

12.6 Bespoke, specially manufactured, specially ordered, clearance or non-stock items cannot normally be returned unless faulty or incorrectly supplied.

13. INSTALLATION

13.1 Products must be installed in accordance with our latest installation guides.

13.2 Appropriate substructures, fixing centres, expansion gaps, ventilation and compatible fixings must be used.

13.3 Failure to follow installation requirements may affect product performance and any applicable warranty.

13.4 CETA is not responsible for installation workmanship undertaken by independent installers or contractors who are not employed directly by CETA Group Ltd.

14. QUANTITIES & MEASUREMENTS

14.1 Customers are responsible for checking measurements and calculating the quantity of products required.

14.2 Any quantity calculator or estimate provided by us is intended as guidance unless we have expressly agreed in writing to take responsibility for project measurements.

14.3 We normally recommend allowing additional material for cutting, wastage, project shape and future repairs.

15. STORAGE

15.1 Products should be stored correctly before installation.

15.2 Long decking, cladding and joist products should be stored flat on adequate supports and protected from damage, excessive heat and contamination.

15.3 We are not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect storage after delivery.

16. WARRANTY

16.1 Certain CETA products are supplied with a separate product warranty.

16.2 Warranty periods and conditions vary according to product range.

16.3 Full warranty terms are available on our Warranty Declaration page.

16.4 Any commercial warranty provided by CETA is additional to a consumer's statutory rights and does not replace them.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

17.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

  • rights which cannot legally be excluded under consumer law.

17.2 Subject to applicable consumer law, we will not normally be responsible for losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.

17.3 For business customers, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of contracts or loss of opportunity.

17.4 Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights available to consumers.

18. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

18.1 We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control.

These may include:

  • severe weather;

  • flooding;

  • fire;

  • strikes;

  • transport disruption;

  • port or shipping delays;

  • shortages of materials;

  • governmental restrictions;

  • war or civil disturbance; or

  • failure of utilities or transport networks.

18.2 Where such an event occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption.

19. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

19.1 Website content, photographs, product descriptions, drawings, branding and other materials belonging to CETA Group Ltd may not be copied or commercially reproduced without permission, except where permitted by law.

20. PRIVACY

20.1 Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data-protection legislation.

20.2 Payment details are processed through our authorised payment providers.

21. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

21.1 We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

21.2 The terms applying to your order will normally be those in force when the order was placed.

22. GOVERNING LAW

22.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

22.2 Consumers will retain any mandatory rights regarding the courts or jurisdiction available to them under applicable law.

22.3 For business-to-business contracts, the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed in writing.
